Dum_Maaro_Dum_2011Dum Maro Dum, an upcoming movie featuring Abhihsek Bachhan portrays the Goa’s drug mafia and sex trade. The movie set to release on April 22, is facing tough times due to the protest of the Goa tourism industry.

The Rohan Sippy’s movie is set in Goa stars Deepika Padukone and Bipasha Basu in the leading roles. The racy promo of the movie (attached below) highlights drugs, sex, ecstasy, and  racy party scenes with bikini clad foreigners. This trailer was one of the factors behind the current protests. The tourism industry personnel don’t want yet another negative spotlight of the one of the most attractive tourist destination of India. The theatrical release poster (right) is also enough to tell the story of sex, drug and danger.

Back in 2008, the death of a British teenager, Scarlet Keeling, was hyped so much that the people had grown the false feeling that the Goa beaches were unsafe. It is clear that, the tourism industry doesn’t want similar negative spotlight of Goa again.
